The Calcampus charge is a mandatory fee assessed to all students enrolled at the University of California, Berkeley. The fee supports the operation and maintenance of the campus's academic and administrative buildings, as well as its utilities and grounds. It also helps to pay for campus safety, security, and health services. In addition, the Calcampus charge helps to support student organizations and activities, including the ASUC Student Union and Cal Dining. The annual fee for the Calcampus charge is $1,128 for undergraduate students and $936 for graduate and professional students.
