LCRW is a charge from the City of Los Angeles for stormwater runoff. When it rains, Stormwater runoff happens when water from rain or melting snow flows over the ground. This runoff picks up and carries with it oils, grease, pet waste, chemicals, and other pollutants. The City of Los Angeles has a Stormwater Pollution Prevention Program to help reduce the amount of pollution that enters our waterways. The LCRW charge helps to fund this program. By reducing pollution in stormwater runoff, we can help protect our waterways and keep them clean for everyone to enjoy.
