The DVD from my office's annual company picnic was delivered by a local courier service. When I opened the package, I found a DVD with my company's logo on it, as well as a charge for $4.99. After some research, I discovered that this charge is for the service of delivering the DVD. The company did not charge me for the DVD itself, only for the cost of having it delivered. This makes sense, as it would be more expensive to ship a DVD than to simply have someone deliver it locally. In addition, the local courier service is likely more efficient and quicker than shipping the DVD through the mail. Overall, I was happy to see that my company had chosen a cost-effective way to get the DVDs to us.
